This Policy explains how we process your personal data when you use our online Spanish school, book lessons, purchase books and materials, or communicate with us through the Site (collectively, the “Services”).

3. Legal bases (RGPD / LOPDGDD)

We process your data based on:

  • Contract performance: lesson bookings, book purchases, payment processing, and invoicing.
  • Consent: newsletter subscriptions, non-essential cookies, sending promotional communications.
  • Legitimate interest: site security, fraud prevention, service improvements, booking reminders.
  • Legal obligation: invoicing and tax obligations in Spain.

4. Data we process

  • Identification and contact data: name, email, phone number, country.
  • Bookings and lessons: schedules, reserved service, attendance, notes.
  • Purchase and invoicing: billing/shipping address, tax ID number (if applicable), order history.
  • Payment: managed by secure third parties (Stripe, PayPal). Adventure Learning Español does not store card numbers.
  • Customer support: messages you send us through forms or email.
  • Technical/usage data: IP address, browser, device, cookies, browsing analytics.

5. Purposes

  • Provide the service: manage bookings (e.g., Amelia), online lessons, book orders, invoicing, and downloads.
  • Payments: process payments through Stripe/PayPal.
  • Communications: confirmations, reminders, changes/cancellations, support.
  • Marketing: sending newsletters and promotions, always with your consent.
  • Improvement and security: usage statistics, fraud prevention, website optimization.
  • Legal compliance: accounting and tax obligations.

6. Service Providers (Data Processors)

We work with third parties that process data on our behalf, such as:

Hosting and email: Hostinger, Google Workspace.
Bookings and store: WordPress, WooCommerce, Amelia.
Payments: Stripe, PayPal.
Translation: Weglot (if enabled on your website).
Analytics and marketing (if applicable): Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel.

These providers may involve international data transfers, with appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses, etc.).

7. Data disclosures

Your data is not disclosed to third parties except in the following cases:

Legal obligation (tax authorities, governmental bodies).
Essential service providers (payments, messaging, logistics).
Explicit consent (e.g., publication of testimonials).

8. Conservation

  • Clients/orders/invoices: for the legally required periods (minimum 5 years for tax purposes).
  • Bookings/communications: for the duration of the relationship and up to 12 months thereafter.
  • Marketing: until you withdraw your consent.
  • Cookies/analytics: as indicated in the Cookies Policy.

9. International transfers

Some providers (Google, Meta, Stripe, etc.) process data outside the EEA. Safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are applied to protect your information.

10. Minors

Our services are not directed at children under 14 years of age. If we receive data from a minor without parental authorization, we will delete it immediately.

11. Rights

You may exercise your rights to:

  • Access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, and data portability.
  • Withdrawal of consent.

12. Segurity

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (HTTPS, access control, backups). However, no system is 100% secure, so we recommend that you do not share sensitive information through unsecured channels.
